Filaflex is a highly elastic and resistant TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) filament designed to print flexible objects on any FDM printer. Unlike conventional rigid filaments, Filaflex bends, stretches and adapts, opening new possibilities in prototyping, footwear, fashion, medicine and beyond.
Thanks to its exclusive formula developed by Recreus, Filaflex does not require a heated bed, adheres perfectly to the print surface and avoids warping.
When and Why Was Filaflex Born?
Filaflex was created in 2013 in Elda, a town in the province of Alicante, Spain. It was born from the need to develop a truly elastic and innovative material—something that was missing from the 3D printing market at the time.
Unlike rigid filaments available back then, Filaflex aimed to expand the possibilities of additive manufacturing by introducing flexibility and softness to 3D printed parts.
